Expert Profile: Don Konipol  Don Konipol holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Economics from the City University of New York and has been a licensed Texas Mortgage Broker since 2000 and licensed Texas Real Estate Broker since 1978. He first formed Wolverine Mortgage Partners LLC to invest the proceeds of the sale of his automotive repair businesses in short term high yield private mortgage loans. When numerous friends and business associates asked Mr. Konipol to facilitate the investment of their savings in these same type high yield mortgage notes, he began operating Wolverine Mortgage Partners as a mortgage brokerage.
Upon receiving his MBA in 1975, Mr. Konipol went to work for Societe General De Survalliance S.A., Geneva, Switzerland in investment banking. He left in 1978 to come back to the United States and went to work as a commercial realtor for First Equity Company in Houston, Texas. In 1984 Mr. Konipol formed the Investment Realty Group to purchase distressed real estate at auction. Having been on all sides of the real estate and financing table, Mr. Konipol brings a unique set of skills to private mortgage investing and private mortgage financing, allowing him to successfully network and bring together all parties to insure a successful transaction.
