By Crissie Cudd Prudential Florida WCI Realty Why does one home in a neighborhood sell faster than another that is similar in price and size? Marketing! An effective marketing plan goes a long way in making your home seem a better buy than the next, therefore attracting more potential buyers. Your real estate professional should have a plan for advertising, such as flyers, newspaper ads, yard signs, Internet listings, etc. The old saying “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” applies here. If your Realtor doesn’t have a concrete marketing plan for your home it will make selling it much more difficult. A good marketing plan will involve marketing the home to potential buyers in a variety of ways as well as marketing the home to other realtors. Close to 80% of all buyers are now starting their search for a home on the internet. Your Realtor should have a strong presence on the internet through both company and personal websites, with links from prominent real estate sites that will lead back to your property. If you are considering selling your home, enlist the help of a real estate professional who can assist you in creating an efficient marketing plan-a marketing plan that not only gives you the price you deserve, but also ensures that the property sells in a timely manner. A good real estate professional should be able to give you valuable advice on how to best meet both these goals. Back To Top
